Role
Business Analytics is among our most successful disciplines at Kaplan Business School, the growth of which excitingly necessitates the recruitment of another Academic Head.
Reporting to the discipline’s Academic Director and working alongside another three Academic Heads, this is a highly administrative position without direct reports but with day-to-day tasks that include the recruitment and scheduling of faculty, the supervision of subject coordinators, the oversight of curriculum development, the monitoring of student performance, the proactive implementation of interventions and much more.
Our ideal candidate is an early career academic who is passionate about teaching excellence and is keen to step up into a management role at an institute of higher education with very high levels of faculty engagement and a vibrant alumni community.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality, relevance and currency of the discipline’s subjects
- Recruit, coach and engage a diverse and dispersed faculty
- Proactively address metrics of success such as progression and attrition
- Implement interventions to protect student welfare and enrich their satisfaction
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience as a teacher and subject coordinator in a higher education context
- Credible experience as an industry practitioner
- Member of a professional association such as the Australian Computer Society
