  • Permanent part time | 0.7 FTE | Wonthaggi location
  • $45.93 per hour plus superannuation  

        ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about creating inclusive, thriving communities? Do you have a knack for project management and a drive to improve outcomes for community members facing barriers to Access and equality? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support and expert project management services in the field of Access and Equity.
  • Assist in the development of a strategic vision for Access and Equity in Bass Coast, with a focus on healthy ageing and disability inclusion.
  • Collaborate with community organisations, government agencies, Council departments and stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that promote inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Conduct research and maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation to identify barriers to Access and Equity, and drive innovative solutions to address them.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of communities facing barriers to Access and inclusion, striving to create a more equitable society.
  • Identify external funding opportunities, where relevant, to address key barriers to Access and inclusion in Bass Coast.
  • Encourage actions and activities that promote healthy ageing for older people and improved Access and inclusion opportunities for people with a disability, their families and carers.

A BIT ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate across all levels of Council and develop and maintain strong links with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as possess proven experience managing and delivering projects with the ability to implement objectives on schedule.

You will possess knowledge of aged and disability services, including relevant policies, regulations and best practices and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice and advocacy for marginalised groups.
