Our client are one of the oldest access consulting firms in Queensland having provided professional disability access assessments and advice now for over 22 years. Our team of qualified and accredited Access Consultants have a broad range of knowledge regards the access needs of people with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities as well as understanding the needs of people in aged care and adolescent facilities.
We also have within our team assessor accredited to assess Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) for the NDIS, Livable Housing (LHA) and Changing Places. In addition to physical access for people with disabilities, our expertise in Sensory Access has involved our team in major wayfinding design projects including public hospitals, airports and public spaces.
THE ROLE
This is a full-time remote role for an Access Consultant and/or an Accredited SDA Assessor. The Access Consultant will be responsible for assessing and evaluating physical accessibility in public spaces and providing recommendations for improvements to ensure compliance with accessibility laws and regulations. The Access Consultant will also work with clients to understand their accessibility needs and provide customized solutions, as well as conducting accessibility training for clients and colleagues.
This is a work from home position with the ability to travel to conduct site visits and meetings.

Qualifications
- CPP40811/CPP40821 Certificate IV in Access Consulting or CPP50711/CPP50721 Diploma of Access Consulting
- Building Surveyor (Level 1) or Building Surveyor Limited (Level 2)
- Or a degree or higher in a related field, such as Architecture, Engineering, or Accessibility
- Good knowledge of accessibility laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in conducting accessibility assessments and providing recommendations for improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and diverse stakeholders
