The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Access Consultant to join their Brisbane team. This role would be a hybrid position with ability to work from home 2 days per week and adopt a mature approach to managing project requirements and outcomes. There is also a relocation package on offer for the right candidate if you are looking to move from interstate and capitalise on Brisbane's booming project market.

Key Responsibilities
- Assessing physical environments to identify barriers and obstacles for individuals with disabilities.
- Reviewing architectural plans and designs to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations.
- Generating detailed reports outlining areas of non-compliance and proposed solutions.
- Regularly reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented accessibility features.
- Making adjustments and improvements based on feedback and evolving accessibility standards.
- Engaging in continuous learning to stay informed about advancements in accessible design and disability accommodations.
- Networking with other accessibility professionals, disability advocates, and industry experts.
- Prior strong experience as an Access Consultant with a strong preference to commercial projects, with appropriate accreditation.
- Detailed understanding of statutory requirements and regulations of Queensland, in addition to the National Construction Code and associated Australian Standards.
- Tertiary qualification in Access Consulting and/or Architecture
