East Grampians Health Service is currently seeking a RUSON to join our team on a part time limited tenure contract.
A Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) is a person currently enrolled at a University to undertake nursing study, who is registered with AHPRA as a student nurse, and who at commencement, has successfully completed not less than 12 months of the Bachelor of Nursing Degree or 18 months of a Double Degree /Paramedicine’.
RUSONs are employed under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 (Clause 106)
RUSONs work under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. They (RUSONs) work within a core duties and exclusion list, (this is very different in scope to a nursing student placement) and the RUSON works above Safe Patient Care ratios.
Based at East Grampians Health Service (EGHS) in Ararat the RUSON is employed on a fixed term basis, 16 hours per week. Shifts required to be worked are AM and PM, Monday to Sunday as rostered taking study and clinical placement obligations into account.
RUSON employment ceases upon registration as a Registered Nurse, or if the student withdraws, defers, or fails their undergraduate degree.
