The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.An exciting opportunity is available to join the team in Neonatal Services for a Registered Nurse in the position of Access Nurse. The successful candidate works within the ACCESS framework providing: Assistance, Coordination, Contingency, Education, Supervision, and Support.The Access Nurse attends Blue light calls and Emergency Admissions. This may include assisting with transfers within the facility or other facilities for investigations. In this position, you will assist with medication/ milk checking across the unit and planned procedures. The role works closely with Clinical Support Officers in monitoring and managing stock replenishment.   • Demonstrated recent post registration experience in a neonatal setting or experience deemed appropriate.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services
  • Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
