About the role:
In this role you will provide safe compassionate person-centred care within the NICU ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients/families/carers and multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, skilled Neonatal Nurse who is committed to providing excellent family-centred care.
Where you’ll be working:
- The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at John Hunter Children’s Hospital in beautiful Newcastle, is one of the largest and busiest NICU’s in NSW. This 44 bed unit provides Intensive Care support for newborns requiring medical and surgical care in the HNE and Mid North Coast area.
- You will join a dynamic, passionate team of Health Professionals, in a newly refurbished, state-of-the-art Unit, with the latest healthcare technology.

Requirements:Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
About you:
- You will have extensive experience in Neonatal Nursing.
- You will be self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, empathetic, resilient and demonstrated commitment to evidenced based clinical practice.
- You will have high level communication skills, both verbal and written, and an understanding/qualifications in adult learning principles, and demonstrated teaching ability.
