Accessory Fitter - Emergency Service Vehicles

Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, we specialise in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including NSW ambulance, SES, Disability access, Fire and Rescue, retirement & nursing homes, special needs schools and many more.

We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Accessory Fitters to work in our production team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist to assemble a wide range of purpose-built vehicles
• Assembly and fitting of vehicle accessories such as Light Bars, Antennas, system boxes, bull bars etc
• Automotive Electrical trades suitable but not essential 
• Assist in day-to-day tasks as per Team Leader’s instruction, including general labouring and specific tasks to assist the team and Team Leader
• Assist in the repairs and maintenance of products

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, reliable, genuine and committed. You will work well within a team and have a high attention to detail.

• Vehicle industry experience preferred
• Working to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality workmanship.
• Working a variety of tasks using hand tools and power tools
• This role requires you to be physically nimble to work on all areas of medium to large vehicles.
• Keeping up with production deadlines whilst maintaining quality work. 
• Working well independently whilst being part of a team
