This is a brilliant opportunity to become an Accommodation Manager at the the Gateway Inn. As we look to expand our business interests, we need hospitality professionals to help drive that expansion. This is a well remunerated position, with great conditions and realistic opportunities to pursue an exciting career with Australia's largest hotel group.
What you'll do:
- Be a motivating and inspiring role model and leader, develop and train the team to ensure an exceptional experience every time
- Manage the day to day operations of the Front Office - open/close, administration, recruitment, rostering and assisting guests
- Coordinate and facilitate group bookings (sporting, coach and corporate)
- Achieve financial and business targets in accommodation including sales growth
- Manage revenue, labour and expenses
- Train and lead the front office team in exceptional guest service
- Monitor distribution channels and room rates in-line with contracts and demand
- Assist with front office staff rostering in consultation with Venue Manager
- Work closely with the Housekeeping team on standards, times and responsibilities in-line with ALH expectations
- Support local, state and national sales and marketing activities in-line with National Accommodation team
- Effectively manage online reputation and guest reviews. EG- Google, Trip Advisor, Booking.com
- You will be passionate about mentoring and leading a team
- Previous experience with RMS preferred
- Come with previous experience working within a hotel, ideally in a similar role
- Gain satisfaction for making our guests feel at home, and will develop a thorough knowledge of our hotel products and services
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, busy environment
- You will take pride in your appearance and always lead by example as the face of ALH
- You will have exceptional communication skills and customer service flair
- Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays
