We currently have an exciting opportunity for a new SIL Accommodation Manager to join our team ion the Central, where you will provide support and leadership to dedicated teams of staff.
We are looking for someone with disability experience who can demonstrate hands on team leadership skills to assist our Operations Manager in the construction of dedicated teams to ensure best practice service delivery to the participants we are privileged to support.
Every day will be different, but the main responsibilities of this role will include
- Provide support and supervision to front-line staff within accommodation settings on a regular basis
- Facilitate participant and team meetings
- Undertake performance management and support investigations and disciplinary processes
- Build solid partnerships with participant stakeholders to ensure consistent person centered supports are provided
- Oversee and implement risk management plans, participant support plans, and WHS
- Support the induction and orientation processes for new team members
- Participate in the on-call roster on a rotational basis
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services or related field or equivalent experience is highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team within the community services sector
- Strong understanding and knowledge of NDIS, Disability services sector and NDIS Quality Safeguarding Framework
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management & interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload and competing demands
- An understanding of what it means to support in a way that respects participants rights, dignity, values, beliefs and personal goals
- The ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and having a positive approach to everything that you do
- Applicants must have a current Drivers Licence, NDISWC (or willing to apply), Working with Children Check and current First Aid
