Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role:

  • Traditional end-to-end Enterprise ‘go getter” sales role, client facing and predominantly Australian focused.
  • The role will manage a portfolio of large enterprise customers within (but not limited to) the high-risk and government verticals.
  • This role focuses around PayPal’s Enterprise payments platform, which goes way beyond just our traditional yellow payment buttons with solutions extending across all payment types and includes tools to manage fraud, buy-now-pay-later, payouts and loyalty
  • Your success in this role will be based on annual quota attainment and organic growth.
Meet our team:
  • PayPal’s Enterprise Sales Team is a small tightknit bunch of successful sales and relationship individuals. Whilst our payment solutions cover pretty much every commercial industry this role sits within the high-risk and government verticals, however, can also include verticals/companies outside of these.
  • To be successful in role you’d want to know and manage a broad range of other internal stakeholder groups including compliance, finance, account management, risk etc. These teams are located across local and global PayPal offices.

Demonstrate your ability to engage, influence and deliver merchant value at c-suite level, in addition to numerous business stakeholder groups as you manage, progress and close new and expanding relationships.
Proven capability in sales planning and execution in the Large Enterprise space from a Fintech, Ecommerce, SaaS or Payments landscape
Become an expert in our Enterprise payments platform and find matching benefits to your merchant portfolio.
Manage a traditional sales pipeline identified from your merchant portfolio end-to-end. We use ‘salesforce.com’ to track, report and implement our sales and so your experience with this tool would be beneficial.
Strong negotiation techniques and commercial acumen to develop strong business cases
Trusted advisorship and building strategic working relationships

In your day-to-day role you will be required to undertake the following:
Strategic Account Development
Owning the commercial relationship managing the overall strategic health of the large enterprise merchant
Provide insights and support to help develop and deliver against the account strategy
Analyze accounts' business needs in detail and works with Customer Success Managers to identify opportunities for cross-sell
Develop bespoke solutions for complex merchant needs addressing pain points, tailored to each organization
Build trusted relationships with clients at C-level suite to increase sales effectiveness
Frequent face-to-face and virtual meetings with key accounts
Cross-functional collaboration
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure an effective sales effort, including but not limited to product and technical specialists to deliver value propositions across the PayPal portfolio
Liaises with diverse groups at merchant client, including Finance, Technology, and Operations, in order to sell complex solutions with multiple stakeholders
Operates as an integral member of the broader sales team, sharing learnings and leading by example
Proactively solicits coaching from management and applies to field activities
Sales management
Drives revenue growth of PayPal solutions by meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas
Manages the sales cycle for assigned PayPal accounts including outreach and relationship management, pitching, and negotiating and closing new business
Creates and manages account development plans and regularly reports on results
Maintains accurate and up to date records in customer relationship management (CRM) system at all times, including activity logs, pipelines, and revenue forecasts
Acts in accordance with our compliance and regulatory obligations at all times, including provision of general financial advice
What do you need to bring
A minimum 5 years of platform selling experience from complex, enterprise solutions within Fortune 1000 companies
Multi-year track record of successfully managing multiple accounts while exceeding both renewal & new business targets
Proven consultative sales abilities and demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments, and influence all levels within an organization to close sales
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required
