We are currently accepting applications for a Major Accounts Executive, on a permanent full-time basis. As MAE, you will connect, inform and influence Major Accounts within your remit, supporting them with fulfilling their customer needs. You will also be tasked at generating, qualifying and closing new business opportunities.
You will be ambitious and try your best to upsell the sale with our diverse range of products and services by asking the right questions. You will be a team player, and have the support of experienced Sales, customer support and greater business teams. This is a hybrid role, with expectation to visit Sydney prospects/customers, as well as work from a Nisbets location (agreed days with your manager).
THE ROLE
The key focus areas of the role include:
- Carrying out customer visits for the purpose of presenting the Nisbets range and sales offers; ensuring that all customers and prospective customers are across the Company’s current range offers; securing future business opportunities
- To maintain regular contact with Key customer contacts at all levels on a pre-defined call cycle as agreed with the customer and the Major Accounts Manager; via visits and through written and verbal correspondence to maximise sales of the Nisbets range;
- To grow National Groups within the assigned portfolio, build on current relationships and source new business
- To prepare and maintain accurate customer records which are required to identify all areas of opportunity regarding product range and have suitable sales offers in place.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in account management and nurturing; customer bases in FMCG advantageous but not essential;
- Comprehensive background in developing new business relationships with profitable outcomes
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Certificate level of Sales Training
- Good command of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
- Current Australian drivers’ licence
