Reporting to the Sales Manager – Minerals, the key focus of the Account Manager is to support Lime and Limestone market growth, deliver proactive customer management, maintain customer relationships for retention, and consistently provide high quality service across NSW, VIC and QLD. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity primarily based in North Ryde. The successful candidate will be offered flexible working arrangements and will be required to travel occasionally.
Your day will involve:
- Support all Lime and Limestone sales activities and programs related to national growth and commercial plans, with initial focus on the Eastern states – NSW and VIC.
- Prepare information and analysis on competitor activity and market/projects data.
- Ensure Boral’s commercial excellence programs have impact and application for the business and drive customer-centric practices and behaviours at all times.
- Use market intelligence to identify opportunities and threats for business’ growth and product opportunities.
- Effectively service and manage customer account base and provide sales administration support on a consistent and coordinated basis.
- Strengthen Boral’s brand equity and reputation with customers through regular contact with customer key executives to ensure they are satisfied with products and associated services.
- Pre-empt and provide solutions for customers in a manner that yields credibility and value.
- Coordinate internal technical expertise to facilitate effective technical advice and service to customers as required.
- Accept and carry out responsibilities in accordance with the relevant Boral HSE system.
What are we looking for?
- 2-5 years’ experience as an Account Manager or similar, ideally within a similar industry
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships remotely through active communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to proactively manage competing priorities and forecast pipelines of work
- Strong technical skills with hands-on experience with Salesforce or CRM (highly desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications in an industrial, engineering or business discipline (highly desirable)
