Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client accounts within the mining industry, fostering strong relationships, and driving business growth through effective sales strategies and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the mining industry, serving as the primary point of contact for all account-related inquiries and issues.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within existing accounts, including upselling additional products or services and negotiating contract renewals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical support, and product development, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services.
- Monitor account performance metrics, including sales revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and develop action plans to address any areas of concern.
- Travel to client sites as needed to conduct meetings, perform site visits, and participate in industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales or account management roles within the mining industry, with a strong understanding of mining operations and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at all levels of an organisation.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and close deals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
