Reporting into the Finance Manager, they have an exciting opening well suited to an ambitious part or recently qualified CA or CPA, based in Toowoomba and joining their strong existing finance team.
This is a great role for a candidate seeking exposure to a leading private business, with a great mix of finance duties, including:
Responsibilities
- Complete weekly and month-end procedures and reporting accurately and promptly.
- Prepare month-end journals, prepayments, and accruals with precision and timeliness.
- Perform reconciliations of general ledger and balance sheet accounts, and other necessary reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly reviews of capital expenditure and repairs & maintenance against budgets.
- Deliver exceptional support to the finance, production, and management teams, as well as customers and suppliers.
- Support the business’s financial operations by reviewing, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s financial records and reporting systems.
- Proactively find ways to improve financial systems
- Assist in supervising a small finance team, providing guidance and instruction as needed.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified or part qualified
- 2-3 years experience across accounting;
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work across the business;
- Proactive and energetic attitude, and a willingness to learn;
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
