About the Opportunity

Water Dynamics, which has been a leading provider of irrigation services in Australia for over 30 years, has now joined the Envirada Group of companies.  As a result of the acquisition, Water Dynamics is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Sydney CBD

This role will see you being responsible for the day to day financial / management accounting functions of the company and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of monthly results.

Join our Group finance team and support a diverse range of accounting and analytical activities, help drive process and system improvements and get involved in the integration of Water Dynamics into the Envirada Group. You will report directly to the Envirada Group CFO.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing end of month processes including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, review, balance sheet reconciliation & analysis of key variances within the results.
• Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger including delivering timely and accurate monthly financial and Board reports.
• Ensuring appropriate application of financial accounting standards in the general ledger.
• Preparation of BAS, FBT returns and tax schedules.
• Preparation of cash flow forecast and managing cash flow.
• Assist with annual group insurance renewals, group budget & forecasting and group audit.
• Respond to requests for information, highlight trends and potential issues through the analysis and interpretation of data.
• Successfully build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
• Process improvement initiatives.

 About You

• A minimum of five years financial accounting experience.
• CPA or CA qualifications.
• Proven ability to manage month end (end to end) accounting without supervision.
• Experience working within a multi-subsidiary business structure.
• Strong ERP system skills and advanced Excel skills.
• Sound technical knowledge of accounting standards and accounting principles.
• Strong understanding of project management, accounting and reporting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both finance and operational staff.
• Highly organised and able to effectively manage priorities and multiple task.
• Excellent business knowledge and strong commercial understanding to provide analysis and commentary of financial performance.
