As an Accountant you will balance both the books and the commitment to eco-responsibility ensuring financial success aligns with sustainable practices. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in their finance team, providing high-quality financial and management accounting services. Your responsibilities will include maintaining MYOB ledgers and the point-of-sale system, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with company policies. With a focus on accuracy and timeliness, you will contribute to month-end processes, reconcile payroll ledgers, and support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. This contract maternity leave cover 15 month position offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the financial operations while gaining exposure to the waste and recycling industry.

To thrive in this role, you bring a strong educational background with tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field, coupled with current CPA/CA membership. Your experience with accounting software, particularly in a medium-sized organisation, ideally using MYOB, demonstrates your proficiency. As a self-motivated individual, you can work with minimal supervision, showcasing excellent written and oral communication skills. Your commitment to teamwork, analytical prowess, and a positive attitude aligns with their values. If you're passionate about environmental sustainability, possess a current NSW Driver’s License, and have experience in the waste or recycling industry or familiarity with ClearWeigh weighbridge point of sale software, we invite you to join their team and contribute to a more sustainable future.
