The Opportunity!
As an Accountant at Amorepacific Australia, your role will involve financial administration as well as preparing monthly financial reports, BAS preparation and lodgment, budget preparation, auditing financial information and reconciling accounts with the general ledger. This role will be working alongside our current Accountant and Finance Manager.
This role will also be responsible for analyzing financial data and procedures and recommending corrective actions and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
- Reconciliation of bank statements to General Ledger
- Analyzing of data to determine company’s financial health
- Assist with budget preparation
- Processing accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data
- Preparing bills for payment
- Assist with Supplier enquiries
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Inventory processing
Financial reporting
- BAS preparation and reporting
- Preparation of Monthly HQ financial reporting (Cash flow, profitability etc)
Support Finance Manager
- Assist with ad hoc Finance Projects
- Assist with auditing preparation (internal and external)
- Provide role back up for the Finance Manager
- Work with Finance Manager to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
What you will bring:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- CA or CPA certified (highly desirable)
- A minimum of 1-2 years in similar role (Retail Industry – highly desirable)
- A strong understanding and application of standard accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Experience in audits and international accounting
- Experience using SAP (highly desirable)
