About the role:
We are offering a full-time position for an accountant with one or more years experience. We will provide mentorship by our senior staff for the proactive candidate who is responsible, enthusiastic and graduated with an accounting degree.
In this role you will be required to work with a diverse range of small to medium sized business entities. You will be required to complete the preparation of tax returns, BAS's and financial statements for all entities including SMSFs and be given the opportunity to assist with the following:-
- Research and assist with advice;
- Taxation planning;
- Trust account and financial audits;
- Liaise with ATO and ASIC;
- Tax reviews and audits;
- Other Small business services
About you:
You should have clear verbal and written communication skills, strong working ethics and the ability to multitask under pressure. You need to take pride in what you do with your strong time management skills and impeccable attention to detail. You will work in a friendly team with lots of learning opportunities and we offer in-house training.
The requirements for the successful candidate are:
- Completed the bachelor degree in Accounting;
- Rights to work in Australia;
- 1-3 years experience in business services or public practice preferred, we will also consider suitable candidates with more or less experience;
- Experiences in bookkeeping and accounting systems, including MYOB, Handisoft and Xero;
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel;
- Excellent communication skills, both vocal and written;
- High attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise work;
- Have strong sense of responsibilities and work ethics;
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment;
- Australian citizen or permanent resident preferred;
