The OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Quality and Compliance Officer to join our People, Safety, and Culture team. This role is integral in ensuring adherence to the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will support the People, Safety, and Culture Manager in monitoring compliance, conducting quality audits, and developing a comprehensive auditing program to enhance the quality of care provided to our consumers. Additionally, the role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing complaints, and maintaining accurate compliance and training records.
This is a pivotal position that requires a proactive individual committed to upholding high standards in aged care services. The Quality and Compliance Officer will play a key role in fostering a culture of Quality and Compliance, working closely with senior management and various departments to ensure our practices meet regulatory requirements and best practice standards.

- Regularly review and monitor compliance with the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards for Home Care Package Providers and all relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and practices are in line with current regulatory requirements.
- Assist the People, Safety, and Culture Manager with the coordination and management of the Work Health Safety Committee and meetings.
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with established standards, laws, and regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Develop tools and resources to support the auditing process and enhance overall quality.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate Quality and Compliance standards into everyday operations.
- Assist the People, Safety, and Culture Manager to provide training and support to staff.
- Assist in developing educational materials and delivering training sessions to promote a culture of Quality and Compliance.
- Assist with the coordination of staff training, including maintenance of the training register and personnel records for compliance purposes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Assist the senior management team with the oversight and resolution of complaints and feedback.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in conducting Quality and/or compliance audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, including the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Adept communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with record management systems.
- Current unrestricted Class C Driver Licence.
Diploma and/ or tertiary education in quality assurance, compliance, or a related field and experience in the Aged Care Sector desirable, but not essential.
