We are a boutique accounting firm, CPA Public Practice, based in the heart of Bondi Junction minutes from the train station and Westfield.

Our practice provides a full range of services including business advisory, accounting and tax services for small to medium businesses, SMSF, individuals and trusts operating across abroad range of industries.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilful and talented individual to become part of our team. You would be either a qualified CPA/CA member or currently in progress. Experience in an Australian accounting firm is preferable, however we are happy to provide training and support for the right candidate who is keen to build a solid career in Public Practice.

Key candidate skills and attributes will include:

We are looking for a genuine, friendly, ambitious and professional individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a sharp eye for details and ability to understand the value of client relationship.

Excellent organization & time management skills and ability to prioritise work efficiently and swiftly to ensure clients timeline expectation are met and achieve productivity.

You will be capable of working autonomously and have self-motivation, multi-tasking and time management capabilities.

Ideally have minimum 2 years’ accounting experience preferably in a public accounting practice. 

Desirable knowledge of accounting & taxation related to Income Tax, CGT, SMSF, Payroll, FBT.

Experience in accounting software Handi-Soft or similar tax software, Xero , MOYB, QuickBooks, Excel.

Experienced senior accountants are encouraged to apply.

Role Summary:

· Prepare Management Reports and Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, and Income and Tax Summary for family groups including Trusts, Companies, Superannuation Funds, Partnerships and Individuals.

· Prepare monthly IAS and quarterly BAS

· Prepare Depreciation Schedules, Capital Gains Tax Summary, Loan Summary.

· Liaise with clients and other external service providers, including the Australian Taxation Office

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant taxation regulations and have the ability to research and accurately interpret Taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings for clients.

· Ensure that all work is error-free, professionally presented and complies with the firm’s procedures and systems.

You must be either an Australian Citizen or hold a substantial visa with indefinite work rights and you should be able to work full time. Position is open to start anytime.
