Coreserve Australia Pty Ltd is a Managed Solution Provider. A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Accountant to join our Sydney team to play a key role within the finance and accounting function, to aid continued growth and to improve systems and reporting.
In this role, you will be providing financial results analysis, advice for financial and accounting issues and information to enable managers in making decisions. Directly reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team who are passionate about what they do and will be provided the opportunity to further develop their finance and accounting skill set.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Analysing company financial data to prepare month end financial reports for presentation to the management.
- Conducting monthly general ledger reconciliation process, including the processing of transactions and journals as well as responsibility for maintaining the integrity of key balance sheet accounts.
- Completion of statutory requirements, BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, superannuation, and income tax returns
- Maintain and manage monthly rolling cash flow forecast
- Assist in providing financial viability analysis for projects
- Identify cost saving opportunities
- Work closely with CFO in preparation and improvement of annual/quarterly budgeting and forecasting
- Undertake analysis of monthly budget vs actual to produce variance analysis report
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls
- Drive process and system improvements to enhance the monthly financial reporting for use by management in making robust commercial and strategic decisions
- Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks, within set timelines, as and when required by the CFO/management.
- Mentoring and developing other members of the team such as AP/AR
- Accounting degree from an Australian Tertiary Institution
- 2-4 years' experience in similar company accounting role with hands on approach covering the above duties
- CPA/CA qualification is desirable
- Familiarity with Simpro and XERO is advantageous
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and in particular intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Proactive approach and positive attitude

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and the ability to multi-task
