Job Description
As Accountant, you will be responsible for several key functions within our wider controllership team. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. In addition to this, you'll support to deliver timely month-end closes and oversee audit processes and ensure accurate reporting on our financial statements.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Working towards CPA/CA, or a minimum of Diploma in business and accounting
- Minimum 2 years experience at a Large Corporate or major Accounting Firm
- Understanding and experience with Corporate Banking arrangements
- Ability to influence and build relationships across a wide range of organisations
- Strong technical accounting experience and high attention to detail
- Proven ability to use initiative and drive to achieve results
Additional Information
This role is based in Australia
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the preparation of cash flow reporting according to Group requirements.
- Act as a key contributor to statutory reporting and external audit process
- Provide support on internal control execution, testing and various tax preparation as required
- Support, coordinate and lead the successful delivery of key finance projects that will deliver instrumental efficiency gains
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Support the Brand Finance Business Partners with month end journals, financial analysis and ad hoc projects as required
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, trends, and variances from the budget
