Your Opportunity
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join our highly regarded Finance team based in the Sydney Head Office on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager in a close-knit environment, primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial Accounting:
• Preparing and posting monthly journal entries such as prepayments and expense accruals
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and updating for depreciation, new assets and disposals
• Preparing and circulating daily trust account reconciliations and identifying unreconciled amounts
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and assisting in the processing of external payments
• Tracking significant vendor expenses to identify trends and upcoming contract renewals
• Providing assurance to key stakeholders that expenses align to contracts
• Processing of corporate credit card claims and ensuring expenditure aligns with internal policies
• Involvement in other statutory returns as required
Management Reporting:
• Involvement in the production of group budgets
• Involvement in production of various compliance reports
• Other management reporting as required
About You:
• Accounting or Finance related degree (CPA or CA qualified advantageous)
• Experience in an accounting department/corporate environment advantageous
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong organisational skills - time and task management
• Sound attention to detail
• A demonstrated ability to work towards deadlines in a fast-paced environment
