We are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Accountant to manage a wide variety of finance, accounting & business-related duties. You will be an integral member of the team and will make a strong contribution to a high performing service group and team culture. The main purpose of the role is to prepare, compute, manage, research, and analyse all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing timely weekly and monthly management accounts and reports, including detailed analysis of trends in order to provide enhanced and insightful analysis, cash flow and variances report in support of business objectives
Preparing annual budgets and forecasts
Preparing of all statutory reports and payments (BAS, PAYG, etc)
Preparing financial statements for presentation to management
Overseeing all balance sheet reconciliations including creditors, debtors and inventory
Liaising with external auditors and ensuring ongoing compliance if applicable
Preparing and posting of cost journals on payroll & accounting journals
Examining operating costs and reviewing business costs and expenses for accuracy and relevance and advise of discrepancies
Managing the accounting system
Overviewing monthly stock take/stock valuation
Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across all levels for information gathering, problem solving, negotiation and provide practical advice and support
Identifying and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives
Keeping information confidential and securing them with random database backups
Keeping up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
Produce accurate and timely weekly KPI reports
Qualification /Experience Required
Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in accounting with 2 years’ mandatory full-time experience in similar position. In the absence of formal qualifications, 3 years full-time work experience in similar position will suffice.
