Job DescriptionThe OpportunityReporting to the Senior PMO Analyst, this role is accountable for driving capability uplift and growth within the PMO team, Program and Projects. The successful individual will be responsible in ensuring the Program and Project Management Framework and associated Methodology is adhered to.Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Contribution to the development and embedding of portfolio management and prioritisation practices to guide Program and Project identification in alignment with organisational strategy and goals.
- Undertake Program and Project assurance reviews across the Portfolio to aid in successful delivery. This includes assessing ability to deliver to approved budget, schedule and scope and highlighting early indicators where intervention may be required.
- Accountability for a portfolio of projects including identification and support to resolve compliance issues, facilitation of necessary approvals, and generation of portfolio reporting.
- Contribution to embedding benefits realisation into program and project decision-making. This includes the development and reinforcement of benefit management practices such as validation, tracking and realisation reporting
- Work within the PMO team to continuously improve existing internal processes, tools and templates to support minimum program and project delivery requirements and governance practices.
- Review and challenge of new program and project ideas, as well as upskilling stakeholders to improve the quality of Proposals and Business Cases.
- Acting as a subject matter expect through the provision of coaching and mentoring across the various stakeholder groups on use and understanding of PMO tools, and governance and assurance best practice processes to encourage adoption and compliance.
QualificationsAbout You- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement of existing governance practices, frameworks and toolkits
- Previous accountability for the governance of a portfolio of programs and/or projects
- Exposure to a range of methodologies such as Prince2, PMBOK and both waterfall and agile projects
- Previous experience in utilising Clarizen as a Portfolio Management Tool (or other)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional ability to develop and present reports and information with the end outcome and audience in mind.
