SalaryOur client is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Financial Controller to oversee our operations, including farms and processing centres through to corporate business units. You will play a vital role in driving financial success and operational excellence within the group whilst overseeing a small team.
Job Description
Reporting to the CFO, this role will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimise the financial performance of the manufacturing operations, farms, and processing centres.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, procurement, and sales, to align financial goals with operational objectives.
- Monitor and analyse financial data, prepare accurate financial reports, and provide insights to support informed decision-making by senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to drive cost efficiencies and improve profitability.
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to financial and operational teams, fostering a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and be CA or CPA qualified. Proven experience in a commercially led senior finance role within the manufacturing and/or FMCG sector will be highly regarded. You will have a strong understanding of the operational drivers behind running a successful manufacturing business and their financial implications. In addition to this you will have strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills. You will have a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
