About Us:The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.The Finance Branch leads the department's efforts to comply with government and legislative financial management responsibilities while driving a culture of strategic financial management across the department. It is responsible for the department's financial and budgetary policies and processes, including statutory reporting, accounts payable,
Accounts Receivable, taxation compliance, government reporting (including Standing Directions), and facilitation of the annual budget process.
About the Role:The Supervisor,
Cash Management &
Accounts Receivable (AR) supports key team functions, including raising of invoices and managing cash flow, reconciling the department's bank accounts and signatories, cash forecasting and reconciling the payroll with the general ledger with accuracy and timeliness. The role provides a coordination and support function on key operational activities to enable business continuity and improvements.
Some of your duties will include:- Performing daily AR functions including downloading bank statement, identifying receipts, receipting in Oracle AR, uploading journals, opening and closing AR period, assisting business units with AR queries, ensuring timely revenue collection, etc.
- Monitoring and reporting on revenue, debtors and management of bad debt write offs
- Performing Trust account reconciliations each month

About You:As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience with Cash Management and forecasting requirements, in a large and multi-faceted organisation
- Working knowledge of government financial systems and applications or financial controls and compliance. Experience with Treasury SRIMS systems is highly desirable
Qualifications:- An appropriate tertiary qualification (or progress towards one) with a major in accounting and eligibility for membership of CPA Australia or ICAA, would be highly desirable.
