Accounting Manager –
Government Accounting to join our Finance Team based at Flinders Street, Adelaide.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for directing, planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of the financial operations within their respective lines of business, to achieve optimum financial success and meet strategic business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:- Lead and develop a team of 4 accountants
- Work with costing rates, pricing rates and the management of indirect costs to ensure compliance with government cost standards
- Maintain policy, tools and procedure documentation
- Continuous improvement/ automation of unallowable cost identification and segregation
- Partner with project finance to provide advice on financial compliance with different government requirements
- Support, identify and navigate financial compliance barriers to entering into foreign markets
About YOU- Degree qualification in relevant field
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience with US contracting and Government Accounting would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to take ownership of tasks and embrace change
- Demonstrate a growth mind set to find continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder management skills with high level of personal integrity, initiative and motivation
