In everything we do, we take an approach to protect, grow and innovate WA’s economy, community and environment.About the opportunityJoin our Abrolhos team as a Fisheries Management Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in executing aspects of the Abrolhos Islands management plan objectives and initiatives. Working under general guidance, you will assist in developing work procedures and solutions and providing support to team members. Your responsibilities will span across terrestrial and marine management and administration, including tackling complex industry matters and collaborating with senior officers to produce insightful reports. Additionally, you will conduct research on Abrolhos Islands management issues, draft correspondence, and contribute to policy development. Engaging with stakeholders and representing the department in state committees will be integral aspects of your role, fostering vital relationships within the stakeholder group. - Sound experience in high level natural resource management policy development, project management and planning processes.
- Good verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- A willingness and preparedness to travel by sea and air to the Abrolhos and remain at the Abrolhos for multiple days.
- A comprehensive CV that highlights your skills, experience, and achievements including details of two (2) referees.
