Some of the responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Financial Administration
- Prepare accounts payable and receivable files, processing, and payment
- Prepare balance sheets.
- Preparation and lodgement of quarterly BAS and monthly PAYG acquittals to ATO.
- Responsible for the overseeing of entering of assets onto the registered database.
- Monitor cash flow and cash management.
- Prepare annual and midyear budget by identifying critical areas during the pre-budget process and working on preliminary calculations.
- Follow up on the payable and receivable with professional business correspondences.
Financial Report
- Reporting – alibility to prepare and provide accurate, timely reports to external funding bodies and internal relevant persons.
- Produce monthly profit and loss for presentation by managers and relevant.
- Budgeting reports, forecasting reports, and business analysis.
Financial Reconciliation
- Reconciliation of Accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile all accounts including bank transactions, and assist in preparing financial statements including revenue & expenditure, performance to budget/variance, key expenditure tracking and cash flow.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, clearing accounts and journals to be completed on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations that are completed on the general ledger. accounting including the accuracy of bank reconciliations.
Continuous Process Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial accounting systems, transactional processing, procedures and processes.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of high-quality procedural documentation and standards.
- Attend and contribute to review meetings where appropriate ensuring a person-centred approach.
To be successful you will have:
- At least 3 years of previous accountant experience in the construction industry.
- Proven knowledge and track record of maintaining the confidentiality of organisational information in all instances.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written in English and Mandarin).
- Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
- High level of interpersonal skills in dealing with managers, colleagues, and funding bodies.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, attention to detail and prioritise workload.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, problem-solving, technical and IT skills
- Ability to organise and plan personal workload.
- Knowledge/experience with electronic accounting systems.
- Well-understand local compliance and practice.
- Hands-on experience with the Xero accounting software package is preferred.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident is preferred.
- Immediate available would be highly preferred.
