This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts and Administration Officer to join an established, well organised & successful family-owned business with three retail outlets in the centrally located Como/South Perth area.
The outlets are a supermarket, tavern and bottle shops. We are seeking the services of a competent bookkeeper to undertake the accounts work of the tavern and bottle shops.
This position offers great flexibility to work 12-15 hours per week, over two days (preferably Tuesday and Thursday) on a part time or casual basis.
The successful applicant must be well presented, possess effective communication skills, have a good understanding of MYOB EXO (or a similar accounting programme) and be confident in their bookkeeping and computing abilities.
The role is a busy one, requiring a high level of consistent and accurate data entry and would suit a person who takes pride in detail and accuracy with minimal supervision.
The position also involves general office & administration duties. This job would be perfect for someone who is highly skilled, enthusiastic, looking for a varied role, with an ability to work independently and initiate improvements to work practices. We are looking for an honest, mature minded person with a strong work ethic that prides themselves on doing their job well and exceeding expectations. Reporting directly to the owners, the successful applicant will have:
▪ Previous experience in a similar role
▪ Bookkeeping skills to enable processing of basic data through to preparing accounts up to trial balance stage
▪ Experience in processing accounts payable & receivable
▪ MYOB EXO (or similar accounting programme) skills
▪ Advanced skills in Outlook and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Word
▪ Effective communication skills and a good sense of humour
▪ Current knowledge and understanding of Australian GST
▪ Adaptability and ability to manage multiple and varied tasks
▪ Excellent organisational & time management skills
▪ Accuracy and attention to detail
