Our client is an original equipment manufacturer and specialises in the manufacture, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment for mining and other sectors. They have experienced impressive growth over the last 24 months, and are showing no signs of slowing down!
They are now in need of an Accounts Payable Officer to support the finance team through the next phase of the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in an Accounts Payable function who wants to join a dynamic mining services company based in Tomago.
A bit about the role …
Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for Accounts Payable duties and providing general administrative support where needed.
- Primary ownership of Accounts Payable
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparation of weekly supplier payments
- Following up unpaid invoices and queries
- Electronically processing invoices with most automatic & trouble shooting ad hoc issues as they arise
- Completing credit applications for new Vendor accounts
- Processing & assessing new Customer account applications
- Assisting with month-end duties
- Preparation of Audit material, and liaising with the external Auditors
- Providing assistance with various tasks as required to support the Finance team
- All-round accounts office duties, administration, and support
A bit about you …
- Previous solid experience within a full function Accounts Payable role is a MUST
- Must be computer literate and intermediate experience and understanding of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
