The Opportunity

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a highly successful Australian business. Our client has established itself as a leader in their industry, demonstrating strong growth over a long history of delivering exceptional services.

The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing and supportive team. This position is well-suited to someone who can manage a high volume of invoice processing and is looking to develop their career in Accounts Payable for the long term.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the responsibilities will involve but not be limited to: 

• Receiving, sorting, and coding invoices for processing in an accurate and timely manner
• Managing a high volume of invoices daily, with some components of manual data entry
• Preparing payment runs and completing ad hoc payments when required
• Setting up and maintaining existing suppliers and reconciling supplier statements when required
• Reconciling Accounts Payable transactions
• Auditing and uploading corporate card expenses
• Assisting with month-end closing
• Liaising with internal departments and external parties to resolve invoice issues
• Providing ad hoc assistance to the wider finance team

The Expertise Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Prior experience in an Accounts Payable position is essential; high-volume processing required, though not necessarily end-to-end
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal departments and external parties
• Great attention to detail with a commitment to delivering excellent results and high-quality work
• Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving discrepancies and improving processes
• Experience working collaboratively in a finance team environment
