We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. The role primarily involves preparing, reconciling and processing payments while ensuring adherence to authorised limits.
To succeed in this role the Accounts Payable Officer must work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships thus contributing to the overall success of the finance team.
Your duties will be varied and interesting, ranging from, but not limited to:
- Maintain integrity of financial and operational information within MYOB and other software
- Accurately process supplier invoices, obtaining appropriate authorisations
- Prepare system generated EFT runs for timely supplier payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare monthly and statutory reporting confidentially, accurately and in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain professional respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct regular audits on accounts, investigate anomalies and escalate where necessary
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and answering the phone
- Assist with other finance related tasks as directed
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role ideally within the Manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in MYOB with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical skills and a business acumen for problem solving and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and driven – ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent time management skills, managing conflicting deadlines while maintaining professionalism
