Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Specialist
Join a leading legal firm based in the heart of Sydney's CBD, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the legal industry. We are seeking a highly seasoned Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Specialist who possesses the ability to establish effective processes, whilst demonstrating exceptional communication skills to collaborate with partners. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this senior role involves taking ownership of the billing function and focus best practice Credit Control.
About the role:
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, Credit Control, and debt collection.
- Collaborate with the CFO to execute and oversee the billing process, ensuring precision and timeliness.
- Execute the implementation of optimised procedures for legal billing and the management of debt collection.
- Handle client and matter maintenance requests with diligence.
- Generate comprehensive end-of-month billing reports for management review.
- Oversee the receipting process for all financial transactions.
- Promptly address and resolve client queries, providing thorough cost analysis.
- Provide detailed reports on aged debtors to management regularly.
- Generate and issue client statements in a timely and meticulous manner.
- Proactively manage outstanding debtors, conducting punctual follow-ups.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in legal billing or a background in professional services, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, including WIP and timed billing.
- Proven track record of meeting billing targets and achieving results.
- Capability to spearhead debt collection processes and initiatives.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Previous experience using LEAP is highly desired.
