The Usher Group is a privately owned, highly dynamic business with a strong reputation within the building and construction sector. We are specialists in application of paint, render, signage, access equipment as well as contract maintenance services. We are looking for a well presented, friendly and professional for a hybrid role of Account Receivable Officer / Allrounder to join our team. Experience in the construction industry preferred.
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate your skills and experience against the following criteria:
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Allocation of daily payments for multiple entities
- Chasing debtors for multiple entities
- Weekly debtor reporting to Management
- Bank reconciliations daily for multiple entities
- Assisting with retention follow-up
- Apprentice funding co-ordination and tracking
- Chasing bonds
- Sending monthly statements to all clients
The ability to learn the below as a backup with training provided.
- Payroll timesheet processing
- Accounts Payable processing
- Credit Card Reconciliations
Required Experience:
- Accounts Receivable experience required (min 3 years)
- Accounts Payable experience desirable
- Payroll experience desirable
Skills:
- Attention to detail; fast and accurate data entry skills; well organised
- Excellent Time Management skills – ability to work to meet regular deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic mathematics skills
- Able to follow procedures and instructions
- Ability to identify errors and discrepancies in data
- Ability to work with confidential information
- The ability to work autonomously and part of the team.
- Prior experience with Xero, Outlook, and MS Office essential, in particular Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite desirable.
