We are seeking a Part-Time Accounts/Admin Assistant to support the Office Manager & Senior Management team. The hours are flexible with school hours, full or short days considered, we are happy to accommodate the requirements of our new team member. This position has the potential to develop into a full-time position for the right candidate potentially payroll administration and other accounting responsibilities.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Data entry of accounts payable invoices and receipts
  • Data entry of monthly credit card receipts/reconciliation
  • Assisting with generation of accounts receivable/invoicing & monthly statements
  • Assisting with processing/reimbursing staff expense claims

Tasks may also include:

  • Assisting with general data entry
  • Assisting with office consumable supplies/stationery/equipment purchasing
  • Assist with reception relief
  • General administrative support to the team as required

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Experience using accounting software ie Xero, MYOB
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy –MS Office, Outlook, Gmail, Dropbox Excel etc.
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, oral, written, presentation etc.)
  • Ability to maintain and develop professional working relationships
  • A valid manual driver’s licence is highly regarded but not essential  

Desirable:

  • Formal qualification in Administration/Xero/MYOB
  • Previous experience with expense claim processing
  • Previous experience with Payroll highly regarded but not essential – a desire to progress to take on this task would be highly regarded
  • Desire to learn and expand knowledge on all matters relating to accounts & administration
  • Experience within an environmental organisation
