Job description

We are seeking a State Manager to lead our ACT Investigations division, based in Canberra

The Procare Group is seeking an experienced and ambitious insurance professional to join our national management team as the ACT StateManager ofInvestigations. This role requires a driven professional to lead the development of our Investigations division across the ACT, including factual investigations, desktop intelligence and surveillance operations.
Working in partnership and with full support from our national management team, you will embrace this unique opportunity to expand our successful ACT operations. You will work closely with our valued customers, lead our people and own the ACT growth strategy, driving quality outcomes in our service provisions.
You must be a high calibre individual with demonstrated relevant experience, tenacity and a commitment to a demanding & busy role.
Reporting to the Executive Director and with regular liaison with key divisional managers, the purpose of this role is to:
  • Ensure we deliver consistent, high quality investigation services, through a passion for high quality outcomes, teamwork and a focus on business efficiency.
  • Provide timely, professional and effective communication with clients and grow the division’s client-base through a number of targeted activities.
  • Build on our existing network and relationships with key stakeholders in both personal injury and general insurance lines.
  • Prepare and produce internal management reports and external reports in line with our SLAs and client requirements.
  • Support & assist our staff to succeed in their roles and identify opportunities to enhance operational performance of the team and divisions.
  • Assist the Executive team with marketing, tenders & business development activities.
  • Manage quality & compliance processes across the division.
  • Supplement NSW client relationship development and initially manage a reduced factual investigations caseload while building the team.
About You:
  • Demonstrated operational and or management experience, including working with senior internal and external business stakeholders and customers (mandatory);
  • Strong customer service ethos, internally and externally (mandatory);
  • Demonstrated experience in and sound knowledge of investigation services in insurance;
  • A working knowledge of, and existing network in, the workers compensation insurance industry is also desirable;
  • The ability to get the best out of people by providing strong and balanced leadership;
  • Have a current and valid Investigators Licence (or willing to obtain);
  • Have a current and valid driver's licence and vehicle.
