About the role:

This role will be focused on driving market share growth for RWC civil products and services across the Australian market. Develop and lead new product implementation for the civil segment. Partner with the broader RWC sales team and customer base to embed lead generation principals and identify new segment and customer acquisition opportunities. This role will also assist in the development of training and marketing materials, range/pricing architecture as well as ensuring RWC is represented at appropriate industry and government bodies.

Based in Brisbane, this is an onsite role that would require some travel to other sites nationally. The role is a full-time permanent position.

What you will need to do:

  • Maintain direct major customer relationships at state and national level in the pursuit of increased revenue and share in chosen market segments
  • Adheres to requirements to track and maintain customer and call cycle data with CRM
  • Develop, lead, and drive new/new customer acquisition strategies in conjunction with State Sales Management Team
  • Partner with State Sales Management teams to develop and deliver annual strategic civil growth plans. 
  • Maximize the company’s sales & margin through sound market intelligence and assistance in range development and relevant price reviews.
  • Align with product management team to agree and meet/exceed category targets.
  • Lead major Civil state and national tender contract opportunities.
  • Negotiate & coordinate price for major state/national customer, utility, government, council, and job specific contracts.
  • Provide accurate reporting on sales win/loss ratio, market share, project reports and order banks.
  • Ensure all business development opportunities are validated, explored and accomplished
  • Deliver margin improvement through partnering with Product and Pricing teams to deliver appropriate RWC offer.
  • Partner with relevant RWC teams to develop and deliver comprehensive product, application, and sales training initiatives for sales teams and customers.
  • Identify and implement market competitiveness through analysis, feedback, strategic pricing initiatives and strategies
  • Dedicates self to Operational Excellence by complying with relevant policies, procedures and standards
  • Due to the nature and responsibilities of the role, there is an expectation that the individual will be available to respond to occasional urgent contact outside of normal working hours. 

 About you:

  • You will have 5+ years commercial sales experience, preferably in a Civil/plumbing sales environment with multiple locations spread over a large geographical area. If not don't let that scare you off!
  • A comprehensive knowledge of commercial sales processes
  • A history of successful interaction with Operational and Sales Managers and team members in the preparation and presentation of sales plans, presentations and project tender documentation.
  • Understand how financial metrics provide both lead and lag indicators of sustainable performance and support growth strategies
  • Use logic and provide methods to solve difficult problems with effective and creatives solutions 
  • Look beyond the obvious and don't stop at the first  answer.
  •  Quickly find common ground and solve problems for the greater good
