Leading state government department has an immediate requirement for highly skilled 365 and Active Directory Specialists to join them on long term and well-paid day rate contracts.
365 Specialist:
This client is currently in the process of establishing a new domain and uplifting configurations of the existing Office 365 tenancy to improve user experience and deliver better service outcome to its users. An Office 365 Specialist will play a key role in improving the Office 365 tenancy.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the transition team current service provider and our suppliers to de-risk the existing Office 365 tenancy;
- Contribute to the successful planning and execution of transitioning O365 users from old email address to the new email address;
- Participate in and contribute to the impact analysis workshops with stakeholder in order to plan a seamless transition to the upcoming Office 365 configuration changes;
- Work closely with the transition team to review the current Office 365 tenancy configurations and plan the required configuration changes according to QFES requirements;
- Manage, maintain and administer existing Office 365 tenancy until the service is transitioned to the new service provider; and
- Participate in transition activities related to transitioning in the management of Office 365 and transitioning the Office 365 management to the new service provider.
Active Directory Specialist:
- Work closely with the transition team current service provider and our suppliers to de-risk the existing Active Directory domain;
- Contribute to the successful planning and execution of the transition from the existing AD domain to the new AD domain;
- Participate in and contribute to the impact analysis workshops with stakeholder in order to plan a seamless transition to the new Active Directory domain without disrupting business operation;
- Review current Active Directory Objects and perform the required remediation and uplifting activities to remove staled objects and reduce the size of the directory database;
- Perform a review of the DNS services and current zone setups and identify the zones that can be safely removed and excluded from the transition; and
- Review and document existing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) configured and work with the transition team to identify the polices that need to be transition and the policies that can be excluded from the transition.
