We are searching for a Activity Supervisor to provide direction to CDP Voluntary Activity participants and arrange materials for a variety of on-the-ground projects for the Community Development Program in the Eyre Peninsula. Tumby Bay Community Garden and Community Centre are among the current projects.
The employment is initially offered on a part-time basis, for 20 hours per week, however there may be opportunities to expand hours in the future.
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Assist participants in developing their capacity by supervising and coaching them.
- Capable of maintaining materials and carrying out a variety of practical community development initiatives.
- Make sure that every tool, piece of machinery, and vehicle is kept in good operating order and gets the necessary maintenance.
- Assist participants in making sure that they maintain regular hours, that absences are tracked, and that timesheets are provided to the activity coordinator every day.
- Complete basic handwritten or typed weekly reports on time and with accuracy.
- Perform sufficient site inspections and risk assessments.
- Effectively participate in the community as a team member and foster a secure and peaceful workplace.
- Ability to provide supervision in a cross-cultural environment.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
The following are the minimum prerequisites for the role.
- Have a full driving licence and own reliable vehicle
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Two COVID19 Vaccinations
