DOGUE Country Retreat is currently seeking an Admin and Animal Attendant to join the team in Berrima, NSW Southern Highlands.
We are seeking a Part Time - Admin and Animal Attendant with exceptional administrative and communication skills, who has a genuine passion for dogs and seeks a role that goes beyond the traditional administrative or customer service roles.
In this position, the focus is on ensuring our clients feel confident and cared for as they entrust their furry family members to our Country Retreat.
About the Role:
- Part-Time opportunity (Wednesdays are a bonus) (Thursday to Saturday shifts would be a minimum requirement)
- Shifts times vary from 7am-3pm and 9am-5pm.
- Immediate start or within the next few weeks.
- You will oversee and supervise our retreat staff and efficiently handle anything urgent.
- Welcome pets and owners to the Country Retreat, delivering a premium experience.
- Manage check-ins and check-outs for boarding, doggy daycare, or grooming visits.
- Handle phone calls and emails for bookings, responding to inquiries promptly.
- Run front-of-house reception, perform general administration duties, including data entry, report assistance, checklist updates, and payment processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service, consistently seeking ways to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist Animal Attendants with general dog care, including feeding, medication, welfare checks, and kennel cleaning.
- Maintain premium services, keeping owners informed during their pet's stay.
- Supervise dogs during playtime and quiet time, assessing suitability for group interactions.

Requirements:
- A bubbly personality and genuine love and affection for dogs.
- Previous experience in a reception, administration or customer service role, preferably in petcare
- Accurate administrative skills and strong attention to detail.
- A commitment to following routines and procedures.
- Motivation to deliver amazing experiences to our customers.
- Excellent customer service & communication skills and a professional phone manner.
- Desire and skill to achieve positive outcomes for both customers and fellow team members.
- Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment by using exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office and can easily adapt to new systems.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others, so that the whole team succeeds.
- Confidence with handling all types of breeds/sizes of dogs
- Be committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Hold an Australian Driver's License and have own car to get to and from work (there is limited public transport options nearby)
- Have unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Available to work school holiday periods.
