Your role

An exciting opportunity exists in our Finance Solutions Legal team for a Trainee Administration Assistant. Working as part of a team of administrators, you will provide vital support to our Trust team consisting of Paralegals, Conveyancers and Special Counsel, who provide general legal advice to financiers, particularly banks. This role will be a full time position and would be a valuable opportunity to gain administration experience in the legal industry. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, ability to multi task and to work both autonomously and in a team environment.

As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • high volume file management including opening and closing files, electronic and physical filing and scanning
  • monitoring emails and taking telephone calls
  • email correspondence with clients
  • creating and maintaining spreadsheets
  • preparing and updating reports
  • billing in accordance with client requirements
  • other ad hoc duties as required

What you need

This is a trainee position and therefore prior office or legal experience is not necessary, however we expect you will possess the following:

  • excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • understanding of MS office applications, primarily Word and Excel
  • resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own
