About us
We are a not-for -profit service, managed by a volunteer parent Management Committee, offering affordable, quality education and care to families in our local community. We are looking for a full time Administration Assistant to join our dedicated team. As the first point of contact for our families and visitors, we a looking for somebody with a professional, welcoming attitude, ideally with prior experience in Administration and the Early Childhood Education and Care Industry.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience working in an Administration Assistant role, with exposure to the early childhood industry.
- Qualifications in office administration preferred
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care are preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of the Xplor program would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative, accurate and positive manner.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage time, priorities, produce work of high quality and consistently meet deadlines.
- Must have a current Ochre Card
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate Childcare fee accounts in accordance with all relevant legislation
- Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.
- Coordinate staffing arrangements for day-to-day operations.
- Maintain efficient administration systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all families and visitors.
- Work closely with management to coordinate events.
- Handle inbound and outbound phone and email inquiries with a high level of professionalism.
- Manage stocktaking and procurement of office supplies.
- Supporting the Director in day-to-day tasks, including compliance and centre tours when needed.
