We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our team and work various shifts across Kareena Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda in this permanent part time opportunity.
About the Role
Our customer focused administration team are responsible for ensuring the seamless patient health journey. The team are here to effectively support all clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital. As a first point of contact for our patients and their families, you will strive to deliver an exceptional customer service experience for all.
The key tasks within this position will include:
- Reception and Administration responsibilities – handling enquiries from patients and their families, and also Doctor’s and their support staff
- Provide timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, Doctors and other customers
- Efficiently and accurately perform pre-admissions and admissions processes
Availability to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays is essential to this role; shifts range between 6am and 9pm.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience working as a medical administrator (completion of a medical terminology is desirable).
You will display an unwavering commitment to delivering customer service excellence each and every time and understand how to leave our customers with a professional and positive impression of our site, all in line with our Ramsay Core Values.
In addition, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting priorities. You will also have exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels to achieve positive outcomes.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Intermediate-advanced computer skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy
- Availability to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays – flexibility is crucial for this role!
Desirable Skill/Experience:
- Previous knowledge and experience working across switchboard reception, and pre-admissions settings
- Experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech)

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
