About The RoleAs an administrative clerk in our medical records department, you will assist in all activities related to maintaining the Health Information Services in an organised and efficient manner.Reporting to the Health Information Manager, your duties and responsibilities will involve but are not limited to;
- Answering and actioning queries from internal and external customers;
- Compiling medical records of discharged patents as required;
- Filing medical records and correspondence accurately;
- Seeking, locating and obtaining medical records as requested and;
- Archiving and 'culling' of medical records
Your Skills and ExperienceYou will have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused services. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will assist in effectively working in a team environment and maintaining positive relationships with staff, patients and families.
- Ability to cope with demanding situations and strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to respect privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrate initiative when required
- Intermediate computer knowledge / literacy
- Previous experience in a medical records department (or other clerical position within a health care setting)
- Previous experience in a private hospital setting desired but not essential

About Our HospitalThe 212 bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children's Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.Our Hospital encompasses 15 operating theatres, 2 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation laboratories, 16 bed Intensive Care Unit, 8 Birthing Suites, 14 cot Special Care Nursery (Level 2), 8 bed Paediatric Ward and a Day Surgery Unit.
Requirements- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
