Hume City Council's Family, Youth and Children department is seeking a motivated and experienced Administration Officer who will work in our Maternal Child Health team supporting Hume City Council's multicultural community.
Our team operates out of a large number of centres and our services are free and in high demand.
About the role
Our Maternal Child Health Unit provides services and support to a growing population, delivering high quality programs and care to thousands of mothers and families.
In the role of the Administration Officer, you will:
Provide sensitive and comprehensive customer service within the Maternal Child Health (MCH) Team, including Enhanced MCH team.
Undertake administrative support to achieve the delivery of effective and quality MCH Services which reflects Council's Values.
Maintain confidentiality on appropriate matters and adhere to Council's policies in respect to the giving and receiving of information.
Maintain databases to support the Enhanced MCH Team to provide streamlined service delivery to clients.
About you
With a background in office administration, you will have great clerical skills, and your experience will include:
Proficient in data entry into systems and spreadsheets.
Collating information and following up documents.
Working in a team environment using databases and systems.
Use of Microsoft Office and other software.
Dealing confidentially and sensitively with client and patient information.
Completion of a Certificate in Administration or similar (or relevant experience).
High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and demands.
Effective and efficient support to a busy team.
Always providing excellent customer service in a friendly manner and improving quality.
