- 3 days per week - Monday to Wednesday.
- Salary Classification: Administration Officer Level 3 Year 1-2
- Remuneration: $33.30053 - $34.33842 per hour, excluding superannuation.
THE ROLE:
Working within the Radiation Oncology Administration team, this permanent part-time role is three days per week (Mon to Wed), with the possibility of extending days in the future to full-time.
The Administration Officer - RT Bookings role is guided and supported by the RT Bookings Coordinator with daily workflow, which includes updating our patient waitlist (spreadsheet), booking CT & MRI patient appointments and phoning patients with their appointment and preparation details based on their imaging requirements.
DUTIES:
- Provide administration practical completion of tasks and customer service as part of the Radiation Oncology administration team service delivery. Including but not limited to front-line customer service to patients as part of our Front Reception team, efficient and accurate processing and completion of Medicare Billing and the associated tasks and processes as part of our Billing team, undertaking administrative processes for referral management, making new patient appointments and SIM appointments for our CT and MRI machines under the guidance of the RT Bookings Coordinator;
- Show flexibility and a commitment to various tasks and roles to allow efficient rostering of the administration team to meet the administration service needs of the department.
- Provide cover and be rostered to other administration roles to support planned and unplanned leave as required and accept training opportunities in other areas of the administration team for this purpose.
SKILLS:
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and experience.
- Experience in administrative skills and general office procedures.
- High level communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.
- Computer and general literacy with accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
- Ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in respect of hospital matters for patients and staff.
