Post Separation Services (PSS) refers to any family dispute resolution (FDR) service, family relationship service, senior relationship service or other services relating to separated or separating families.
Under direction of the Practice Manager, Post Separation Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- General administrative tasks, word-processing, data entry, spread sheet maintenance, agenda preparation and minute taking, production of Section 60I certificates, filing, photocopying, and drafting correspondence including client letters.
- Providing administrative support to the Practice Manger, Post Separation Services and staff within the PSS team, including coordinating functions, client registration and room preparation.
- Perform client reception functions, including greeting clients and ensure that messages are promptly and accurately relayed to relevant staff.
- Perform client intake functions and attend to general telephone enquiries, escalating calls to therapeutic engagement or referral services when required and enter and extract statistical data into/from client information systems.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in using a range of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Office, Teams and Excel, as well as video conferencing.
- Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of particular issues facing minority and diverse communities and ability to respond respectfully, and in particular with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally diverse communities and LGBTQIA communities.
- Strong written, telephone communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and interact sensitively with a diverse range of people.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
